Hi John,

thanks for your request. I tried to reproduce this, but for me the fuel levels don't get reset. Could you please check:

  • If the connection is interrupted and re-established when this message shows up?
  • Which firmware and hardware version of ARC pro you're using. You'll find this information in main menu > help & support

Thank you!

Marc

firmware: 2.6 Hardware version 1.0.1 iPad OS: 26.5

Connection seems to be maintained: ArcPro power base status light goes from Green (connected) to Red (power fault) back to green (after resume is pressed).

I just did some more testing and I found out something very strange: I have a 70 foot track. When I shorted the track next to the power base, when I press resume the Fuel levels DIDN'T reset! When I shorted the track at the midpoint (about 35 feet from the ArcPro, the Fuel levels reset to 100%. I then tried about 25 feet from the ArcPro and the Fuel levels also reset to 100%. So resetting to 100% appears to be related to the distance from where the short occurs to the power base.

Hm, that's interesting indeed. I don't have any explanation for this right now. The only explanation would be if the connection is reset, but that would usually mean that also the driven laps and lap times get reset. I'll keep investigating. If you find out anything more which could be helpful, please let me know.

thanks Marc, Yes, I'll keep testing and I'll let you know if I find anything else

hi Marc, It is related to a connection issue: if there is no lost connection, when I hit resume, it returns to race mode immediately with no error messages and the Fuel level is correct. The Fuel reset to 100% only occurs when I see the connection lost/reconnect messages after I hit resume.

Ah, I see, yes, that makes more sense. I was actually wrong about the laps and lap times getting reset, too, this will not happen on disconnect > reconnect. I'll check if the fuel levels could also be maintained after a connection reset.

that's great - thanks Marc, I really appreciate your effort. SmartRace is (by far) the best race management software I have ever used ( and I have tried them all)
