It would be nice, if the speed settings of the cars would be reset to the values from the car settings dialog.

Hi Marco,
this is unfortunately not possible. As soon as the race is stopped and the track is "disabled", it's not possible to apply the car settings automatically.
Also, it's not possible to detect whether all cars are on the track to be sure that all cars receive the settings.
I think currently the only way is apply the settings manually.
