Currently, a driver can only be part of one team and this has to be defined on the driver's profile. It would make more sense to also allow this on the championship and/or race level, de facto allowing to participate in different simultaneous championships or stand-alone races with different teams. The team on the profile can be used as the default when no team is defined in the championship or race.

Though I understand the suggestion, I feel that most people don't use the teams feature at all, which is why I won't invest any more time for it at this point.
