When stopping or suspending a race via race control the cars stop on track but the race screen in SmartRace keeps a green flag. Race can only be resumed when first suspending and the restarting via SR

This still does not quite work well, or I am missing something. If I click the Stop button in Connect the session is stopped, but clicking Start/Restart does not do anything when the session is Suspended

Sorry, my mistake. Silly one actually. :-D Will be fixed (and this time really) in the next version.
