When starting a new race not all drivers register appear on the screen. Out of 4 cars only 3 would be shown even though all other cars laps would count. If race stopped and start a new race all cars would register once they crossed start finish line and would have normal operation. In .0.4 version saw this every race. With .0.0.5 out of the 7 races ran this happened 2 of the 7 races.
I made some changes for upcoming beta-0.0.6, which I think should fix this as well. Please re-open if you still see this after updating to 0.0.6. Thanks!
Bug got better ....some Drivers would not initially register but would on the 2nd lap however this threw lap counting off by 1 lap.
So far just a smartrace thing. Other apps when in race menu have drivers on race screen prior to start. Not sure if it is a registering thing at begging of race...or this could also be related to the other issue and cars that have an interference are causing detection issues at the start of race...not sure.. this is where my understanding of protocols is non existent.
You mentioned in #18587 that you're using pioneer cars with a different guide keel. Could it be that this keel is not as reliable when it comes to triggering the lap counting? This would mean that these cars would sometimes also fail to trigger a lap count during the race though, not just at the start.
You could try and see if this also happens if you're only using Scalextric cars.
Other than that I currently don't have any idead what could be causing this.. :-(
