I have found an issue or bug at the start of the race that you may already know about. Run some practice laps (in free practice) with a couple of cars.  Pull into the pits so the race screen shows they're in the pits.  Now move the cars to the starting grid and start a race. (I'm doing the settings transfer before starting the race) When the race starts move the first car slowly, cross the start finish line. You should get a message that says that the car is in the pits, If you now accelerate full throttle I will get a minimum pit time penalty.  With the second car accelerate full throttle before you cross the S/F line.  That car will not get the message that it's in the pits nor the penalty. I'm pretty sure this has been an issue way before the Minimum Pit Stop Time but it didn't hurt anything then but now it's giving penalties.   I have found that if I have all cars leave the pits and make one lap before we place the cars on the starting grid to start a race, there's no message or penalty at the start of the race. Is there a way to clear the system of cars in the pits that I'm not doing? or is it just the way it is?  Thanks Marc.  Rick

Unfortunately this can't be avoided, since SmartRace can't manually "remove" the cars from the pit. If the car is still in "in the pits" mode, this is what will happen, no matter what :-(

Darn, I was afraid of that.  So I guess the best workaround is to have all cars pull out of the pits (during free practice) and accelerate to be sure they're taken out of pit mode and then line up in the starting order before the race starts.  That should fix the "In the pits/penalty" problem at the start of the race.  This would also be good time to advocate for two more options in the Penalty/Minimum Pit Stop Time, First, an option for the timer to expire before refueling or service begins. If the timer is set to (for example) 5 seconds but someone only needs 3 seconds of fuel.  They would accelerate out of the pits as soon as they have the fuel they need but get a penalty because the timer hasn't expired. If the timer had to expire first before fueling or service started, then once fueling starts they would be free to leave the pits at any time because the timer has already expired.  Second: An option (when the first option is set to timer expires before fueling) to turn the penalty off or on so that if you don't wait for the timer to expire and leave the pits you don't get any fuel or service nor do you get a penalty.  This would also solve the start of the race pit mode penalty, since the penalty is turned off. You would still hear the "In the pits" message as you cross the S/F line but receive no penalty. I understand this might not be possible, but it's on my wish list. :-)  Thanks Marc.  Rick
